Mark Shirley

Mark is a zoologist and computational ecologist who lives near
Newcastle but comes from much sunnier climes (i.e. Kent). He's been
playing Ars Magica since Second Edition (and whilst not a fanboy, has
all but 2 supplements for the game), and first got involved with
writing for the game in Fourth Edition, when he co-wrote "Land of
Fire and Ice". Fifth Edition has been good for him, providing
sufficient pocket money to buy four-dimensional jars, a cider press,
a facsimile of the Canon of Medicine by Avicenna, and an armillary
sphere. His library of medieval sources has expanded so much that his
book shelves now pose an avalanche hazard to the ferrets who prowl them.
